Hey kids, if you are between the ages of toddler and 10 you are invited to attend the Russell County Fair: Kids Ranch Rodeo. The whole rodeo uses wooden cows and horses. The cows give real milk and you cannot get bucked off the wooden horses. What do you need to bring? First, you need to bring yourself and then a smile. Most of all you need to be ready to have fun. Learn how to milk, rope, tie a goat and more. It's EDUCATIONAL and EXCITING.

Your parents and grandparents can be involved with you, so bring them along. It's really easy so they don't need to be ~~SCARED~~.

Wild Cow Milking:

A team of four (which will be set up at the contest) will run to catch the wild cow. Next, one member will milk the cow in a little bucket. The individual who milks the cow will then get on the back of the cow while the other three members of the team pull the cow back to the judge. The milk is then dumped into the judges hand just like a real rodeo.

Dummy Roping:

Participants will learn how to hold a lasso rope whether they are right or left handed and experience why a rancher does dummy roping. Due to safety reasons, the rope is furnished so please do not bring one.

Goat Tie:

Even a toddler can participate in the activity, Tie The Pigmy Goat. A Mcclain Mutton Buster representative will put the ribbon in the goat tail and the participant can bring it back to the judge while riding the horse. If you're older, it will be harder, plus you have to follow the real rodeo rules.

This is just a few of the things you will get to do, so come have fun at the Russell County Fair: Kids Ranch Rodeo on Wednesday, August 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
